Tonight’s White Sox lineup against Wade Miller of Boston:

Pods, LF … Iguchi, 2B … Everett, DH … Konerko, 1B … AJ, C … Rowand, CF … Perez, RF … Crede, 3B … Uribe, SS … El Duque, RHP.

Five more Grinder Rules for your entertainment:

Grinder Rule #4 … Knowking what’s coming and hitting what’s coming — not the same thing.

Grinder Rule #18 … NEVER be late for the National Anthem.  No matter what nation you’re from.

Grinder Rule #33 … The only way to get out of the hole yoCrackerjacksu dig yourself is to dig deeper.

Grinder Rule #44 … There is more to baseball than peanuts and cracker jacks.

Grinder Rule #58 … In the unlikely event an opposing player turns a lucky swing into a home run here at U.S. Cellular Field — home of the White Sox — and an unsuspecting fan catches said ball, he or she should NOT throw the ball back onto the field of play.

(Note: our advice, find a kid instead and make their day).

Suggested grinder rule:

“Losing is never lovable.”

Rule #58 should be posted everywhere throughout the stadium. It should also be announced that people who throw the ball back onto the field are subject to fines (not just removal from the park). I know an American League teams does this before the game (Toronto? Baltimore?)

Keep up the great work!

yeah, I do not like people that throw the balls back onto the field, that’s a little ridiculous to me.

So, Dye still not in the lineup, those must have been some super spider bites….

Hey Scott, random question:
Is there a cd with music from the ballpark avaliable to buy. I’ve been to a bunch of games this season and my family was wondering if there is such a thing. We’ve been looking for that 1959 go go white sox song! (and others from pregame)

By the way…Thanks for the blog, while i’m sure it takes a lot of effort, us fans really appreciate it!

you can get the go go white sox song at , i found it there the other day and I actually use it as background music on my xanga.

great blog by the way, i love to read this.

Grinder Rule #58…YYYYYESSSS!
P.S. Is there any idea when Jermaine Dye is expected back in the lineup?

The lovable grinder rule? Psheehan, you’re awesome.

Grinder #58 is superb. As my dad says (yells) whenever the situation arises: “What do you think this is, Wrigley Field?” I truly think anyone who does this–short of a truly back-breaking situation like Tito Landrum ’83–should be removed from the park.

My old-school grinder rule, with a nod to Crede, McCarthy, Uribe and Willie and a dis on pants worn down to the heel: We’re called the Sox…so wear the socks!

And another–Our Rock: Big Frank; Our Roll: sPods; Our Music: N. Faust
