Why isnt pods in the lineup again. Is ozzie giving him an extended rest because i have noticed his first step isnt as explosive which i think a long rest would help and can we get and update on tadahito iguchi please. Keep up the good work scott.

the last game he played they showed him talking to herm for like 5 minutes…i wonder what the deal is

it really is too bad that poor defense behind him could end up costing buehrle the cy young this year

It is really to bad that marks streak ends because he was standing up for his teamates.

Scott, I know this is far-fetched, but is there anything that can be done about the way Mark’s streak was ended? That call by the ump was awful, and there’s nothing to say that another ump would have made that same call. No warnings had even been issued. That was not a fair way of Mark’s streak coming to an end! Is there any chance of that being overturned?

they can’t change the fact that he didn’t pitch 6 innings. the only thing you might see is that if mark has another streak of 50 games of 6+ they might put something on the Eastcoast Sports Promotion Network like “50 straight with 6+ innings, 99 out of 100″. Asterik’d of course.

that makes sense..haha. I’m sure us fans were more disappointed than him! he is such a team player, but i would have liked him to continue such a great accomplishment. oh well. he got the W, thats much more important anyways!

yea it definitely is a shame that that’s how a streak of that calibre would be ended.

I’m sure Ozzie never thought in a million years that Buehrle would get ejected for the HBP, but I kinda wonder if Buehrle realized he may be risking his streak. I know he’s a great team player and he’ll take it all in stride but that must’ve been an interesting couple minutes for him.

Something tells me that if Buerhle had to pick a way to end his streak – and we all know he doesn’t care about stats anyway – getting thrown out after standing up for his teammates would be it.

If mark dosent care about it ending then either should we.

Break in the action: Prior to Monday afternoon’s contest, Guillen joked that Timo Perez was going to ask for more money with his second straight start against the Orioles. Guillen said that nothing was wrong with Scott Podsednik, who Perez replaced in both starts, aside from a little fatigue and soreness in his legs.

Hey guys, I just posted a new entry on my Blog called “Sox Pride”. It is critical of Buerhle getting kicked out and the state of the Orioles who should be embarrassed after this weekend. My earlier post in the day is critcal of Joe Crede’s recent string of errors and Palmiero getting caught juicing. I like giving opinions and like getting opinions back so check them out and let me know what you think. Once again, it’s called “Sox Pride”

Robin Ventura ? this is stupid but if Robin was in any kind of playing shape , could he spell 1st base and third base? the Sox pulled Harold Baines out of retirement why not Ventura. He has the world series experience and has been a fan favorite. If Field’s is the future at third, how cool would it be to pass the baton from one OK Cowboy to another. Could it push Joe Crede to his full potential?

im glad Buerhle’s streak ended. his previous two starts resulted in a loss and a no decision going for 6 innings instead of yanking him when he was running out of gas and letting the pen do its thing.
Bringing Robin back is a pretty bad idea, man. I dont care how sore Joes back is, and Fields isnt even close to ready. I tell ya whos going to be a stud at 3b, the Nats 1st pick this year Zimmerman. That kids thereal deal.
