i think everyone nees to relax a bit. i thought yesterdays comments were the best ive read thus far.
A little underwhelmed by our offense last night. But feel that’s an abberation and not a return to August-style play. The troubling thing was it came against a rookie with a 7.08 ERA. We need to punish that sort of pitcher. I don’t know if anyone else looked ahead at this weekend but we’re up against the real deal (Washburn, Bartolo, and Lackey). I’m excited to see how our top dogs respond. I got the feeling this won’t be the last time we see the Anaheim-Los Angeles-Angels

The Tribune has nominated its own Wrigley Field as one of “The Seven Wonders of Chicago.” It would be laughable if it weren’t so grotesque. I really hope they get their cosmic reckoning soon.
Would someone please tell carl everett to back off the plate a bit. im a fan of hitters crowding the plate, but he’s taking the concept to a whole new level. As a result, he’s getting pummled with a steady diet of fastballs on the inner half of the plate that he is unable to get the bat on. Back up a bit — please!
As a general rule, hitters that crowd the plate are much more dangerous when pitched in… theyre kind of daring pitchers to try to get it by them. Carl’s just in a bit of a slide, he’ll be fine, i’m sure. And when he’s right, just watch what happens when he gets a fastball on the inner half. In fact, I’d bet a strong majority of his homers this year have come from the inner half. So, don’t be too worried, he’ll come back around and be just fine.
