Someone remarked that it was sure nice to have "Havana" type weather for Jose Contreras’ start yesterday.
Was it just me or did it seem like a huge weight was lifted off our fans’ shoulders?
So much for "small ball."
After the five-run first inning, my first thought was how slow the next eight innings were going to go.
I joked with Scott Podsednik about the amount of attention his home run received. "It’s not like it was my first career home run," he said, laughing.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, only one other player in MLB history, with 500 at-bats in a season, hit his first home run in DS, LCS or WS play. Can you name him? (Answer later)
