This One Was Arizona Ugly
The Dbacks pounded out 13 runs on 18 hits in beating the White Sox, 13-6. It was a stereotypical Arizona spring training game with every ball hit hard and carrying with the help of a 19 mph wind.
"No excuses," said Ozzie Guillen. "Some of those balls would have gone out in any ballpark.
"I don’t worry about Buehrle, Hermanson or Politte," he said. "They will be fine. Jermaine sure got his work in running all over the place."
Dye, who was 2-3, homered for the Sox, as did Juan Uribe. Scott Podsednik was 1-3 in his first action of the spring.
"Now tomorrow is a must win," said Guillen as the Sox fell to 0-4.
Tomorrow’s Lineup vs. Arizona

Making Amends
Earlier in the day, GM Ken Williams was on the air with James Brown of Sporting News Radio.
He said he did regret some of the language he used when referring to Frank Thomas earlier in the week.
"I did have to apologize to my mom and my grandmother for using that type of language on television," Williams confessed. "My grandmother said, ‘That’s all right, we’re all at church praying for you.’"
