Today’s Lineup

Pods, LF; Iguchi, 2B; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; Dye, RF; Crede, 3B; Uribe, SS; Widger, C; Anderson, CF.  Garland takes the mound for the Sox against Jeremy Affeldt for the Royals.

Lets hope Garland can get a great start tonight just like Contreras did for us yesterday. We were out at the ball game last night and it was just magical again. GO SOX!!

Let’s go SOX! C’mon Jon…we know you can do it!

Garland just needs to string together some three up,three down innings….and stop the bleeding of hits and runs he’s suffered from in his first two starts…..

Now,onto other business…The Sox are holding and on-line and in the ball park raffle, with three winners out of how many thousands upon thousands of entrants getting their own personally initialed and molded, actual, accept no substitutes World Series Champions ring….It’s quite something and the proceeds from the sale of chances go to White Sox Charities,so it’s a really good cause as well….What I’m saying though is just this….Remember last October when the playoffs were starting, and there was a lottery-like rush for tickets? Well,it’s entirely possible that the same thing could happen with this drawing…So enter, but don’t go stupid on the whole deal….If you want to support White Sox Charities,do so,even if you DON’T get one of the rings….

Since Mr Reifert is now well aware of my loyalty to this blogsite,I’d like to get in on a drawing for(and I am as serious as the proverbial heart attack about this) a set of MLB team media guides for the ’06 season….Unlike the rings which were given out Game two of the season and immediately put on E-Bay for sale(again, thanks for nothing for doing that, you bunch of cretins)and the miniature trophies that were given out on Game three, with the same result….I would NOT put these books up for sale,AT ANYTIME,NOR FOR ANY COST….

Just a request….if answered,thank you…if not,no problem…..

Tomquaid…it’s not a set, but I did pick up my very own 2006 White Sox Media Guide last night… =) the cover is gorgeous.

tomquaid, thanks for refreshing my memory of the WA no-no. I can’t believe it has been 15 yrs. I vividly remember Ripken coming to the plate in the 9th, and thinking oh no, he is going to get a hit and prevent me from seeing my first no hitter. I didn’t discover this blog until late last season, so I would be interested to learn a little bit about the frequent posters (tomquaid, dbrusa, jules, kr-trepac, and anyone else who wants to). I grew up in NE Indiana and live in S.Indiana. My Grandfather and Dad were both Sox fans, so I am a third generation Sox fan. I have some memories of the Sox from the 70s but my first Sox hero was Harold Baines. My brother lives in Chicago and I try to get up there often, but I do not get to see as many games as I would like. Last season was a dream come true for my Dad and I. I feel good about this year’s team, but if they do not repeat, I will be able to savor the memories of 2005.

Great to see Pods hittin’ tonight, I never doubted him at all. And a much, much better night for Jon! Lets keep this going…!

Nice job Pods…seems he is back in the groove. Amazing that Thome is on base and has scored a run in every game. And Joe Joe is seeing the ball well and it seems to me that if he keeps hittin this well maybe he will get looked at for the gold glove since it seems that the award is now the gold glove/gold bat award. Nice job behind the plat by Widger. Brian Anderson looked better, and he looked great defensivly. But did anyone see that catch by Adam Stern of the Red Sox? That was amazing…anwyay we can win one today against KC. GO WHITE SOX!
