Weather

The weather is always beautiful at the ballpark.  Let’s all try to remember that today.

Tom Quaid

I saw Tom Quaid yesterday here at the park (at least I think it was Tom under all the layers of clothing).  He picked up some game notes, visited the new press box and then went to his seats in search of the largest cup of coffee in the place.

Tom, did you make it through the ballgame yesterday?

Big Jim

I walked outside during batting practice yesterday and saw Jim Thome in the dugout.

"This is Peoria weather," I said to him, laughing.

"Right about that," he said.  "This is deer hunting weather."

Jim was one of the bright spots, along with Darin Erstad, Joe Crede’s clutch single and David Aardsma, in yesterday’s disappointing, 8-7 result.

Today’s Lineups

Sizemore, CF; Michals, LF; Hafner, DH; Martinez, C; Blake, RF; Garko, 1B; Peralta, SS; Barfield, 2B; Marte, 3B.  Sowers pitching.

Pods, LF; Erstad, CF; PK, 1B; Thome, DH; Dye, RF; Crede, 3B; Iguchi, 2B; AJ, C; Uribe, SS.  Buehrle pitching (in deer hunting weather).

Scott… I certainly did…stayed the whole game…If anyone doesn’t believe me, check the last post from “Wednesday Morning”…

It was colder yesterday than my love life…(but I wanna tell ya…sorry, channeling Bob Hope there for a minute…)
By the way,Brother Liptak…slight point of information for you…Your comment to sox 1966 really could not be done, as she lives “deepintheheartofTexas”,so I doubt that she gets the Comcast post game feed…

If the Sox lose today, I will be put on suicide watch. I hope the 2005 Mark Buehrle shows up toady!!

Thank you TQ, I couldn’t have said it any nicer than that, therefore the reason I hadn’t responded! :)

this pitching staff is horrificly bad

Well Buehrle, that didn’t take long. Only one way to go and that’s up. Here’s to improvement.

Well it is a little warmer today then it was yesterday, but our boy Mark just went out with an injury. I hope for the best on his condition, cause he looked good after the first two hitters of the game. Hopefully Massett pitches a little better today.

Matt B.

You have got to be kidding! What will go wrong next?

We are killing our bullpen. Hopefully Massett does well, but I am curious as to why Ozzie is not putting Danks in there and scrapping his start on Saturday. Because of the day off they had on Tuesday everyone would still be on normal rest.

What is going on with our pitching?****** about Mark going out like that. We just need to get our hitting together, and our base running. I didn’t like how Juan wasn’t paying attention to what was going on with the game and didn’t even look to see if Blake catch the ball. We have to improve, or this is going to be a very long season.

best case scenario is we lose 4-3…bottom of the 8th 3-3 right now

God you would think Ozzie would have learned yesterday not to put Thornton in late in the game. He f-ing *****

I was very suprised to see Jenks & Thornton get out of that jam, like armour248 said I was looking at it as a best case scenario standpoint.

the heart of the lineup just produced a whole lot of nothing…

hernandez is clueless

That’s a White Sox Winner

Feels good to say that again

I think it’s safe to call that “winnin’ ugly.” Kudos to the bullpen. In game 1 and again today they pitched a lot of innings and allowed relatively few runs. That’s something positive to build on. Masset especially held his own pretty well during this series.

And the academy award goes to….AJ!! C’mon, did that ball really hit him? I just saw the Buehrle line drive and you can see the egg on his arm as he’s walking off the field…ouch! It is nice to finally get that win. Massett did a nice job and overall the bullpen has looked pretty good this series. Let’s just hope the starting pitching comes around! TQ, did you enjoy the game yesterday???
