SOX NECESSITIES(or. . .We’ll continue to lose until we have . . .)

Pitchers who know how to hold runners on base . . .

Pitchers who, after throwing fastballs past a batter, understand that they should NOT throw a breaking ball over the plate . .

Pitchers who understand that location is more important the velocity. . .

A general manager who also understands that location is more important than velocity. .

Batters who understand that taking a first strike down the middle only puts them in a hole . . .

Batters who know how to bunt, including the “big” hitters(read: we like to hit into double plays in key situtations)like Konerko, Dye, Thome, etc. . .

Batters who also know how to SQUEEZE bunt, especially when the team is struggling for runs . . .

Infielders who know that outfielders have the right to call them off on fly balls. . .

A major league shortstop . . .

AND. . .ABOVE ALL . . .

A MANAGER WHO UNDERSTANDS THE NECESSITY OF ALL OF THE ABOVE. . . (get real Mariotti: 2005 or no 2005, Ozzie does not have the skills to manage a struggling team. He should be FIRED…NOW.)

Lemme see. Haven’t been in in a while because it seemed that baseball wasn’t receiving much attention. Still watch my squad, “we” are looking terrible. Gary Sheffield said it best. Fans are the hardest on their teams. A fan punches the clock or works for a living. When “our” team is winning, we’re winners, when we’re losing, well, you get the idea….

Anyways, this is the first blog I’ve ever done (and the only), I’m new to the internet, I’m not the youngest anymore. HOWEVER, if ever there was a place for talking baseball and speculating (some here have called it being an “armchair GM”), it is here. If someone wants to dissent, let them. If someone wants to post disrespectfully or immaturely, it merely makes a statement about how old they are. I have seen the name calling, the lectures on proper pronoun usage, calling players cancers or Pu$$y-willows or some garbage, and the ever popular, I’ve-been-a-better-fan-longer-than-you- have posts. Who cares. If you want to say ‘we’ in reference to your ballclub, go right ahead, as long as you are not falsifying a professional resume. I haven’t seen any hard and fast rules in this regard. Musta lost my White Sox Fandom Handbook. As far as peoples loyalties, I don’t come here to read about people’s cold dead bodies being buried, nor do I like seeing the blatant remarks of disrespect here. I don’t need the excitement.

I think I have been properly chastised…
I would just like to be able to attend “Son of a Blog” nite, then see this abomination of a season come to an end…

This one has reminded me of too many seasons in the past—full of promise at the beginning, dragging at the end…

I just got through reading the Red Sox blog site on mlblogs.com…Many, many more posts than here…and their fans spend their time and space analyzing the games…NOT insulting each other…
WHAT HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST TWO YEARS SINCE THE MIRACLE ON 35TH STREET?…

Or is there no one out there who really gives a **** any more?

Listened to baseball talk , during rainout day before yesterday, thought that I would throw out my 2 cents on trades, probably worth have of that. My view trade, thome, paulie, and uribe, and garland. Make dye the dh, add speed in right, and shortstop, and 1st base. Granted in the real world who knows what you can get in trade, but get what you can and free up those big bucks, to sign free agents.
