Thanks for all the activity on the site and for the victory estimates.

Official Scorers

Keep this among ourselves (no one tell Orlando) but since we moved the press box in 2007, the official scorer sits in his own booth on the broadcast level.  So when anyone calls the “press box” at our place, he gets a PR person who is still 150 yards and one level of the ballpark away from the official scorer.

Believe me, Rosey does not answer a phone with a chipper, “Official Scorer.”  You just can’t get to him … and that is on purpose.

In cases where members of the team, coaches, managers, broadcasters, media, PR guys, etc. feel an incorrect scoring call was made, we commonly do speak to the official scorer just to make sure we understand his thinking (knowing that our clubhouse will ask about it after the game) and to make sure he understands our point of view.  The vast majority of scorers are great and are more than willing to talk to you and will even look at replays if they feel they want a second look.

Richar

Danny Richar was recalled from his DL rehab stint to Class AAA Charlotte and then was optioned to Charlotte … a move purely done on paper.

In my opinion, this is going to be a tell tale of a series.
I hope I will like the feeling in my gut when Monday rolls around. Have a good evening everyone.
I know I will just be watching baseball all weekend now that it cost me $110 bucks to fill up the vehicles. UGH.

So what do they do in Toronto?

This is a textbook example of how you win games.

Good… very good pitching, and enough offense to take some of the load off them. Eleven hits is very encouraging.

Keep going guys.

Mark Liptak

Nice homer, Paulie! Great to see him hit a dinger after the long drought. Hope this means his hand is feeling much better. And Crede as well, although it has not been as long for Joe. Great pitching for Danks, as well as the rest of the bullpen guys. My husband was watching the game with me tonight and he was surprised at the low ERA Logan now has. I kept telling him he should watch the replay of Monday’s game against Cleveland to see how Boone has turned into a pitching stud. Let’s get a couple more wins and see you all at the Cell next week when the kids are done with school! Yippee, summer’s almost here!
