Last night should have been no surprise to anyone who has followed this ballclub for a while…

The offense finally got somewhat into gear, just the fact that the Cuban horse is back pitching, and pitching semi decently, is a miracle (congrats to Hermie, Brian and Allen)…
and then the bullpen from Hades has to show up late and throw the whole mess out the window…

And it was the usual suspects, as well… “Space Mountain” Mac Dougal and “Carrumba” Carrasco…

Well, today, at least Ozzie has given the folks at FOX something to talk about besides the anemia permeating the club in the first week…

Happy Easter, and a joyous Passover, to all…
Don’t get too high of a sugar rush from all the candy…

This is a plea to Ron Gardenhire…… Ron, I have always wanted to pitch in the major leagues. Unfortunately, this dream never happened for me. I am 29 years old, have a bum shoulder and haven’t pitched in two years. I beg of you to let me pitch today. The lineup changes the Sox have made combined with their terrible hitting to start the season makes me think I could have a pretty successful outing. I live 20 minutes from the park. I am ready to go. Give me a call!

Thanks again,

KenWo

Thanks for the laugh, Kenwo. Best of luck to you on that!

Ever the optimist, I was glad for a couple of things last night. One: Paulie’s bat heating up. Two: Wise’s bat heating up. Three: Carlos’s first dinger. and Four: the continued excellent play of my two newest favs, Getz and Fields. (Bring back Wasserman and I’ll be back in baseball heaven!)

Ever the optimist, although I did not like the outcome of last night’s game, there were a few things I was most happy to see – Paulie’s bat heating up, for one. Carlos’s first dinger of the season. The continued outstanding play of my two newest favs, Getz and Fields. And despite giving up those runs, JC looked pretty good on the mound again. When he warms up, he should be a pretty decent fourth starter. Now we’ll see what Colon can bring to the table.

LET’S GO WHITE SOX!!

Hey, my first double post!

Yeah, seeing some good things, Contreras did okay, Fields and Getz are looking good. Joe needs to go on the DL soon, yes, I am a “hater”. What is going on with that lineup today? And it goes without saying, the bullpen was special last night….

And while Colon has always been a hefty guy, it’d be nice to see him go on the Contreras miracle diet. Hey, by the way, how did Jeff Marquez do in spring training?

what the hell?

what the hell?

Figures, the one game a week I can’t watch online we’re winning – blah –

Some things about last night – well – it’s one word actually, bullpen! What the hell was that implosion???

Enjoying some of the new faces – sure are some youngins though!

They have been having serious system issues the past two weeks. I’m glad I’m not the only one having issues logging on, and having posts repeated.

Scott knows about it and he told me he passes the info on to the folks who run the site. Not sure what, if anything, they are doing about it.

Frankly I’m shocked this spring training lineup won today. Shocked that Colon pitched well and even more shocked that Ol’ MacDougal didn’t urinate away an eight run lead.

If nothing else Ozzie has found the right time when to pitch him, when the Sox are winning or losing by at least eight runs.

A win tomorrow and taking the series would be nice to start a long road trip.

Mark Liptak

hey good job by the sox today. i thought for sure we were going to get no hit when i seen the lineup. glad i was wrong. alexei swung it better today and Corky Miller has proved to be more productive in one game than toby hall was in 2 years. lets get a win tomorrow!
