Need a win tonight! go get em Gavy baby!!!!

Go Sox, go…..

Hi All~

Nice shot Alexei. TC will probably send you flowers or something. Keep it going Sox. Go Gavin!

Didn’t think it was possible for BA to play worse than last night (3 Ks). Starts off tonight swinging for the fences as usual and hits into a rally killing inning ending double play which has completely turned the momentum of tonight’s game in LA’s favor. Now 3-1 LA. BA really needs to go. Bring up Jordan Danks. I am sick of watching BA.
This team reminds me of the Keystone Cops. They are just terrible. They will be lucky not to lose 100 games this year.
P.S. I see that we’re resting Thome tonight. Another 80K for sitting on his ***. Great.

This is a microcosm of our season so far. We are unable to score ANY runs with bases loaded and they score two, without a hit!……. It’s going to be a looong season unless something changes….

That said, I still have a good feeling about this game. Come on Boys…..j.k.

I must really mean what I said? Sorry about the triple post…j.k.

Just like that, we start over. Thank you JD…. Now hold them down Gavin… and Go Sox’09….j.k.

So – - mlbtv and I are getting along tonight – all’s good in Cleveland, Texas – - land of heat and no fireworks on the 4th of July – - so sad it is!

Pretty excited when JD tied it up, we’ve got to win this!!!

Man, tonight would have been the night to go. Oh well, last night was still fun.

It might be just a bit premature to dump Josh. So far so good, and I don’t care if all our runs are from dingers. We need to win SOMEHOW! Now hold ‘em Gavin and continue to go-go Sox….j.k.

Double posting – -what a wonderful things, we get to read jk twice as much that makes him twice as nice! :)

Winnning is winning, pretty or ugly, it just needs to be done more often! Is this game running long or is it me?

I wouldn’t mind double postings except they’re sooo redundant…. Keep those bats warm, Boys……j.k.

This is splendid, but we need this waayy more consistently – once a week just makes the losses that much more painful, that being said, it’s only the 6th inning and well, we all know how the later innings frequently run. Call me pessimistic, just trying to be real until I hear the final O-U-T

Finally, some run support for one of our pitchers….. Thanks Team…..go Sox’09….j.k.

Hey Buster. Did you move to Idaho or something??? No need to be so negative. BA is a fourth outfielder and will be one once Quentin comes back. And he’ll be one of the best fourth outfielders in the league with his glove and his speed.

Lots of ball left tonight guys. Keep swinging the bats. A seven-run lead is not always safe in a warm and humid Cell.

Can you hear the woman in the background screamin ‘GET IT IN’ – - she’s really gettin into it!! lol

Told you things weren’t ‘safe’ yet. Come on boys!!!!

I’m betting the ranch on this one everyone. I don’t usually go out on the proverbial limb, but this game FEELS like a W……

Still, I wouldn’t mind a few more runs….. so, Go Sox’09….j.k.

STill feelin the same jk?? I’m not, 8th damn inning again!!!!!

Can we be done with the KC castaways now???

Good grief ya’ll. Come on Oh Do Tell. You had your bad couple of games recently, so it’s time to turn it up…. My ranch is at stake for crying out loud!!!!

I’m back. We were losing when I left and I (in the words of Maria) likey likey the score now. Can we hold this lead? I say yes.

Let’s hope that is the last time we have to see Jimmy Gobble. A couple of more runs in the bottom half would feel really good right now.

That’s better. Now leave Octavio in for the ninth. We don’t want to see Bobby, he needs the night off, so he can be fresh for tomorrow afternoon.

Any more runs in those bats, Boys?….. j.k.

MariE, you wouldn’t have likey likey-ed Jimmy Gobble.

TC – No, not in Idaho, still in Illinois. As an aside I have an extra ticket to Friday’s game if your interested in going and having a face-to-face chat about our consistently inconsistent club. In case you haven’t heard CQ is probably gone for the year. Whether CQ comes back or not BA needs to go. He can be the fourth outfielder on the cubs or Charlotte, just not with us. Great example of good field – no hit.
By the way Jimmey Gobble should get a seat on the same plane as BA to palookaville. He is awful.

I for one sure didn’t likey likey anything that last inning just brought!

Fourth outfielders are supposed to be good field – no hit. They have to be good field to b e able to play any outfield spot. And it they could hit, they wouldn’t be a fourth outfielder.

Quentin or no Quentin, we still don’t have any better options than Anderson right now. And if I were going to a game, I wouldn’t waste my time arguing with someone. I’d be watching the game and focused on what’s happening on the field and not what is coming out of someone’s else’s mouth.

Yes this team is definitely inconsistent. Just like all but about five or six teams in baseball right now.

Now, we can breathe!

Nice comeback win after a very poor start. Again, they me be inconsistent but they have a lot of character. Nice to see guys come off the bench — Fields and Nix — and hit the ball well. And Floyd really battled.

Gotta beat their ace tomorrow and then get ready for the northsiders over the weekend.

Thank you Boys….. Hey, how about we all chip in and buy Gobble a one way ticket to a ranch. He’d make a good doorstop for a fence gate. And since I don’t really own a ranch, we could send him somewhere exotic, like Argentina…

Come back strong tomorrow Boys….Go Sox’09….j.k.

TC – we may disagree about BA and the definition of a fourth outfielder.

My offer of a ticket to Friday’s game was genuine and sincere. Seeing your hotheaded response I can say I’m very glad that you’re not going (with me at least).

Get a sense of humor pal!

I for one like BA. For a 4th outfielder, he is good. I will take his glove any day. It’s a no brainer if it is headed his way and in a close game, I love seeing him out there.

Cowboy Jimmy of the Pampas. Coming soon to a continent near you……

Hotheaded????? C’mon Buster!!! Look in the mirror. You’re the one taking things way too seriously!!!!! That’s why I said you belonged in Idaho with another too-serious-type-of-guy.

I’m busy Friday night. But I’ll tune in for an inning or two and see if there are any “hotheaded” guys in the stands. Can’t imagine there being any at a White Sox vs. Cubs game???????

And MariE, no flowers to Alexei yet. But give the young lad some time.

What a night to be at the ballpark!! It was hot, but so were the White Sox bats, right? It was also “space night” or something like that so when they were recapping the game, they kept showing shuttle launches after each homerun. Pretty clever! And also a graphic of earth with an orbiting “White Sox Planet” logo. Take that “other sox nation”!

Don’t like to gripe about anything after a fun win, but can ESPN focus on the important stuff ONCE in a while? Like how about mentioning the fact that the White Sox hitters belted SIX homers instead of just showing one or two and moving on to the next story? I should just stop watching, I know, I know.

And another thing, congratulations to Jared Mitchell on being named the Most Outstanding Player in the College World Series. I was watching in the Stadium Club at the Cell when he hit his 3-run homer and I wasn’t the only one cheering either. Looking forward to seeing him in a White Sox uni some day in the future.

BTW tc, the Friday game starts at 3:05, not at night, so don’t miss it!

Thanks. Shows how much I look ahead at the schedule. All I am really looking forward to is Thursday’s day game with the Dodgers.

Actually, when Buster Brown threw out the invite to Friday’s game, I had to think for a while to remember who we were playing. I guess I am sincere then when I say that the games with the pajama-clad, nursery-rhyme singing, overrated whiners from the north side mean nothing more than any other games. True, they are much more fun to win, but in the end they count just as much as beating Seattle or Baltimore.

So, since the game is at 3 p.m., I won’t be able to see any of the game until the late innings. And only if the game is not a quick one. You see, I will be very busy on Friday. I’ve been told that I have to go out and “get a sense of humor.” This coming from a guy named “Buster.”

I guess I better be careful. He might be as big as Buster Douglas!!!!

It’s all good TC, we all luv ya! I’m with jk on the Gobble thing, just don’t send him here –

AGain though, why do we play the Cubs in the daytime when most people have to work? Are they afraid of night games? This makes no sense to me at all!!! Schedule makers of America, schedule Cubs games at night!!!!!

Will catch the game again today as by 1
pm here, ya can’t even breathe outside, even my puppies don’t like it. JK, hope to see ya this afternoon!

Toodles from Texas!

Toodles!! Haven’t heard that in awhile. Scott can correct me if I’m wrong on this, but I believe that the Cub/Sox games are purposely day games to keep the drunken fights that might occur with this series out of the neighborhoods at night. I think way back when there were issues when there were night games. Could be wrong but my memory somewhere remembers this. I’ll be at Saturday’s game. I’m 2-1 this year when attending.

Toodles, Kris? Haha! How about this one: Yer darn tootin’ I’ll be with ya this afternoon. But here, it’s 11AM game time. Either way that’s only two hour to go. Too early for beer, so I’ll settle in with a couple of diet cokes and some cashews, yummy…. Only thing left to say is Go Sox’09……. j.k.

11 am too early for beer? But surely not for a Bloody Mary or an innocent Mimosa? Irish Coffee? I would indulge if I had the rest of the day off and hadn’t had a couple of Quentin Coolers last night (mmm, mmm!) Speaking of which, where was it that Buster saw TCQ would “probably” be out for the rest of the year?
