1927: Ted Lyons limited the legendary 1927 Yankees to five hits in the White Sox 4-2 win in New York.

1938: Starting pitcher Monty Stratton launched a grand slam in the second inning of the White Sox 15-2 thumping of the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

1967: Gary Peters fired a four-hit shutout and hit his second roundtripper of the season as part of his seventh victory of the season in the White Sox 9-0 win at Yankee Stadium.
