# 3.) June 27, 2009 – The Rookie Wins It – White Sox 8, Cubs 7
Gordon Beckham recorded his first career game-ending hit in a back-and-forth 8-7 win over the Cubs. Beckham singled home Josh Fields with two outs in the ninth.  Scott Podsednik collected four hits on the day, matching his career high, drove in three runs and was a triple shy of the cycle.  Alexei Ramirez singled home the game-tying run in the bottom of the eighth.  The game saw three ties and six lead changes.
