Carlos Quentin, Brian Anderson and Jim Thome all homered for the White Sox as they completed their first three game sweep of the Cubs at U.S. Cellular Field just one week after being swept at Wrigley Field. Thome’s homer was the 522nd of his career, moving him past Willie McCovey and Ted Williams into sole possession of 16th place on the all-time list. Mark Buehrle tied Joel Horlen for ninth place in franchise history with 113 wins.
