I think TCQ is not shaving or cutting his hair since he’s been hot at the plate. I hope he keeps it up all season – just think what he’ll look like in October!!!!!
Hi Marie,
Like you, I wondered if Quentin’s new look was related at all to his power at the plate. As far as I’m concerned, he can grow his beard all season if it helps him swing the bat! Doesn’t look bad right now, anyway
Hi Girls! ( and Guys too from earlier posts). I just watched todays game after driving back from our visit to our Daughter’s and getting to hold our new grandchild…. Woohoo, what a beauty she is….
Anyway, great pitching from Jake and with Q and Gordon going deep, this game was ours. I am amazed that we haven’t won 10 games in a row in over 34 years. But of course, I’m happy we’ve done it now. How much longer will this streak last? What usually happens after a lengthy streak is a prolonged losing streak. I DON’T see that happening with this group, because of our starting pitching and (now) timely hitting…. We will have to wait and see what happens. I don’t think we will win out the rest of the season….. too bad….. (he says tongue in cheek)
I’m going to check my calendar about the August date. Hopefully, I can make it……
Now on to tomorrow and Go Freddie, go, and go White Sox’10….j.k.
Oh, and like both of you, I don’t care if Q’s beard reaches his knees as long as he keeps hitting like he has the past few games……j.k.
Just wanted to pop in real quick as I won’t be around for today’s game and probably not tomorrow’s as well. Hopefully we’ll see Q resembling one of the guys from ZZ Top if he keeps up his hot streak. Our pitching has been outstanding and the hits are coming around as well. Now let’s take today’s game and get the Crosstown Cup talk over with. Go Freddy and Go White Sox!
TCQ could look like Grizzly Adams’s BROTHER, or a refugee from The House of David (remember seeing THEM play, jk?), as long as he hits the ball the way he has been this homestand…
This is just exactly the way they should have been playing ALL SEASON LONG…
But, after we say sayonara to interleague play, we gotta remember that we’re going into a couple of our “pits to play in” on the next trip… Kauffman Stadium in KC, and whatever the name of the ballpark is in Arlington, TX…
We CAN’T afford to lose the “focus” we’ve had the past two weeks… We’ve come back TOO FAR to slip up again …
