Sox Recap
Sox 11, Mariners 7 at Peoria: Leading the 11-run, 17-hit attack were Stefan Gartrell with a three-run home run; Gordon Beckham and Brent Morel who both slugged two-out solo homers; Dayan Viciedo who had a double, two singles and an RBI; Seth Loman who collected three singles and two runs batted in and Jared Mitchell who added a double and a single with an RBI. Dylan Axelrod got credit for the victory, working three innings while allowing just a run and a hit.
Reds 7, Sox 3 at Camelback Ranch-Glendale: Conor Gillaspie singled and tripled with a run scored and upped his spring batting average to .364. Alexei Ramirez went 2-2 with a run scored and is now hitting .368.
The Birthday Advantage
On March 5, his 37th birthday, PK went 3-3 with an RBI. Now Dayan, celebrating birthday No. 24 today, also went 3-3 with an RBI. We can only hope we have a lot of September and October birthdays this season.

Health Report
Jesse Crain, who is recovering from a strained right adductor, said his bullpen session this morning went well and he expects to throw again on Wednesday, most likely another bullpen…Jeff Keppinger was scratched from today’s lineup with slight shoulder irritation. Could DH tomorrow, but won’t play in the field/throw until Wednesday.
