In three innings pitched in two relief appearances at Charlotte, Heath had a 0.00 ERA with six strikeouts. He spent most of last season with the Knights, going 4-3 with a 1.48 ERA and 74 strikeouts in 36 games, which included four starts. Fifty members of the White Sox Amateur City Elite (ACE) youth baseball program will attend a special screening of the movie “42” tomorrow afternoon in Country Club HIlls, IL. The Sox have arranged for the youngsters to view the film, which is based on the life of Jackie Robinson and his breaking of baseball’s color barrier in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Through the ACE program, the Sox give rising stars in the inner-city baseball community the opportunity to play against other highly competitive groups on traveling teams. Athletes 13-18 years of age are challenged and given the unique chance to play among elite teams as well as prepare for success in life after baseball.
