Play of the Day

With the Sox enjoying their off-day, a pair of other top Sox outfield prospects–Trayce Thompson and Keenyn Walker–were instrumental in Class AA Birmingham’s 14-2 pounding of Huntsville last night. Thompson belted three doubles, scored twice and drove in a run while Walker singled, doubled and scored three times.

Quote of the Day

Dunn, who on Sunday hit his 20th home run of the season and 426th of his career, talked to Mark Gonzales of the Trib about his recent offensive turnaround (he’s hitting .340 with seven home runs, 17 RBI, 13 runs scored and nine walks in his last 14 games):

“I feel more consistent now than I have ever. I’m not just saying that. I felt good all year, but the last couple weeks I’ve really felt like me, like what I’ve been trying to get for two years. It’s a pretty good feeling.”

Tomorrow’s Schedule
