Adam Meets Prince
Adam Eaton chopped a ball down the first base line in the second inning today only to meet an immovable force, Prince Fielder.
Drawing a collective chuckle from the crowd, Fielder had scooped up the ball and came down the line toward Eaton.
As Eaton approached Fielder, both players smiled and Fielder tagged/hugged Eaton for the third out of the inning.
Sometimes, when big meets small …
Adam Dunn goes Hollywood.
Sox Notes of Note
Paul Konerko was scratched from today’s lineup as a precaution after feeling sick yesterday. He was replaced by McDade…Nate Jones, recovering from a glute strain, threw live batting practice this morning–two sets of 15 pitches–and is getting close to pitching in a game…Matt Lindstrom, dealing with a tender left oblique, had no problem throwing Sunday. He will throw a long-toss session tomorrow for a third consecutive day and a bullpen session on Tuesday.
Quote of the Day
Jones on how he he’s feeling after his BP session this morning: “I felt really good about the second set out there. I’m ready to rock and roll…”
