White Sox vs. Twins at Target Field, Minneapolis (7:10, CT, CSN) in the opener of a brief two-game set and five-game road trip that concludes with a three-game weekend series in Cleveland. Starters: RHP Hector Noesi (8-9, 4.75) for the Sox, LHP Tommy Milone (0-1, 7.94) for Minnesota.
Noesi will be making his 23rd start this season and third vs. the Twins. He’s lowered his ERA from 14.21 to 4.75 since joining the Sox and has worked at least seven innings in four of his last five starts.
Hector earned the win on August 27 vs. the Indians after allowing just two runs on six hits with five strikeouts over 7.0 IP, retiring the first eight batters. He is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA and 16 strikeouts in five career games vs. Minnesota and has limited the Twins to a .223 average. He got credit for the win on June 24 at Target Field, giving up two runs on three hits in 7.2 innings. He worked seven scoreless innings to start the game in that one.

The Sox announced the following seven roster moves before tonight’s game: We recalled RHP Chris Bassitt, RHP Scott Carroll, OF Jordan Danks, C Josh Phegley, INF Marcus Semien and LHP Eric Surkamp from Class AAA Charlotte; and purchased the contract of OF Michael Taylor from Charlotte. All but Taylor, who was acquired from the Oakland organization earlier this summer, have previously seen action with the Sox.

Jose Abreu is hitting .500 during his 12-game hitting streak and has hit safely in 16 of his last 17 games (.452)…Adam Eaton is hitting .429 with nine runs scored during his current seven-game hitting streak. He also has recorded five extra-base hits over his last six games…Carlos Sanchez has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games (.317)…Tyler Flowers has recorded three extra-base hits over his last three games…On Sunday, reliever Zach Putnam made his 10th consecutive scoreless appearance (11 IP) and has allowed just two hits over that span.
