Did We Expect Anything Different From the Captain?
Paul Konerko on playing again before the end of the season after fracturing his left hand:
“I’ll finish on the field, one way or another. I don’t care if I go up there and take three pitches and strike out, I’ll finish on the field.”

Sox Notes of Note
Jake Petricka is not with the Sox in Cleveland. He is with his wife Ellen, who just gave birth to their daughter. Jake should be back with the Sox on Monday in Chicago…After missing most of the season with his shoulder injury, Avi Garcia will play winter ball in his native Venezuela to continue his development.
