This Afternoon’s Game

White Sox vs. Mariners at Camelback Ranch-Glendale (3:05 p.m., CT). Probable starters: Jeff Samardzija for the Sox, RHP Hisashi Iwakuma for Seattle.

Yesterday’s Highlights

Tyler Saladino hit his first homer of spring, a solo shot, walked, stole a base and made some great plays in the field in the Sox’ 6-2 loss to the Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale…Micah Johnson continued his outstanding offense with a single, a walk, an RBI and a stolen base. He’s now batting .458 on the spring…Javy Guerra pitched a perfect fourth inning in relief of Carlos Rodon, who settled down nicely after a rough start. Rodon went three innings, giving up a pair of runs while striking out three…Tyler Danish pitched two strong innings before being removed after being hit by a smash back to the mound. Preliminary report is that it’s a bruised right tricep.
