Quote of the Day

Robin on Brad Penny, who was a mentor to Carlos Rodon this spring. Both pitchers will start the season as teammates at Charlotte.

“He’s been through a lot of experiences, which is one of the reasons we brought him here. He’s been the phenom. He’s been hurt. He’s bounced back. He has a lot of knowledge that I think he can pass along, and Carlos was receptive enough to kind of pick guys’ brains and Brad was one of them. He got lucky that he got a guy a little long in the tooth to be here and pick his brain.”
