This Afternoon’s Game

White Sox vs. Royals (1:10 p.m., CT, CSN) at Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, in the finale of the three-game series. Probable Starters: LHP John Danks for the Sox, RHP Edinson Volquez for Kansas City. Good omen: Danks is 7-0 with a 2.43 ERA in 16 starts vs. Kansas City.

Last Night’s Highlights

Tyler Flowers smashed a three-run homer (he’s shown above rounding the bases), Avi Garcia collected a double and a pair of singles, Gordon Beckham had two singles and an RBI, Alexei Ramirez drove in a run with a sac fly and Carlos Sanchez singled twice in the Sox’ 7-5 loss to the Royals…Javy Guerra and Zach Duke each pitched a scoreless inning while starter Jose Quintana chalked up another no-decision.
