Quotes of the Day

GM Rick Hahn on Chris Sale‘s first start of the season on Sunday:

“It’s a nice shot in the arm to be whole and feel like the rotation is how we envisioned it when we started the season. Certainly early in camp there was that shock, or concern, that it wasn’t going to quite work out that way any time soon. Over the next few weeks, we knew this was very likely going to be the day which got guys excited.”

Ramirez on honoring Minnie by wearing his No. 9:

“My relation with Minnie was beyond the field. When I heard the news about his death, I thought that I had to do something to give him my tribute. And I kept in communication with the family and I asked them to wear his number today and they accepted. For me, it’s an honor.”

Tomorrow’s Schedule

White Sox vs. Twins at U.S. Cellular Field (1:10 p.m., CT, CSN) in the finale of the three-game series and homestand. Probable Starters: LHP Sale for the Sox, RHP Phil Hughes for Minnesota.
