Today’s News

Tonight’s Game

White Sox vs. Indians at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m, CT, CSN). Probable Starters: RHP Hector Noesi for the Sox, Carlos Carrasco for the Tribe.

Yesterday’s Highlights

With one out in the ninth, The Sox quickly erased a 3-0 deficit and a potentially unsettling loss into a thrilling come-from-behind 4-3 walk-off victory over the Indians that had to put a huge smile on the face of skipper Robin Ventura. Here is how it unfolded: Avi Garcia doubled, Conor Gillaspie walked and each moved up a base on a wild pitch. Alexei Ramirez then sent a long double off the centerfield wall, scoring both Garcia and Gillaspie. Tyler Flowers followed with a single, sending Ramirez to third, and Gordon Beckham tied the score at 3-3 with another single. Flowers moved to third and Beckham to second on Adam Eaton’s single and Melky Cabrera drove in Flowers with the game-winning hit…David Robertson pitched a perfect ninth with two strikeouts for his first win in a Sox uniform.
