This Afternoon’s Game
White Sox vs. Twins at Target Field, Minneapolis (1:10 p.m., CT, CSN) in the finale of the four-game series and five-game road trip that began with the one game in Baltimore. Probable Starters: LHP John Danks (1-2, 5.64) for the Sox, RHP Mike Pelfrey (2-0, 2.25) for Minnesota.
Danks will be making his fifth start of the season, third on the road and first against the Twins. It will be his fifth straight start against an American League Central rival. John earned the win in his last start on April 26 vs. Kansas City, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out eight over six innings of work.
Avi Garcia, with a pair of hits and an RBI, extended his hitting streak to eight games and raised his batting average to .320 in yesterday’s loss to the Twins…Melky Cabrera collected three hits with a run scored and is now at .286 on the season…J.B. Shuck and Alexei Ramirez added a pair of hits apiece. Shuck and Micah Johnson each drove in a run.
