White Sox vs. Twins at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m. CT, CSN) in the opener of a three-game weekend series. Probable Starters: RHP Jeff Samardzija (3-2, 4.58) for the Sox, RHP Phil Hughes (3-4, 4.76) for Minnesota.
The Shark is 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in his three home starts this season and has gone seven-plus innings in each of those outings. Samardzija earned the win in his last start, May 17 at Oakland, allowing three runs on eight hits in eight innings of work.

Tyler Flowers cranked a long two-run, ninth-inning homer (click on link below) in the Sox’ 5-2 loss to the Indians…Jose Abreu extended his hitting streak to 16 games, Adam Eaton‘s streak reached 10…Scott Carroll (2.2 IP) and Hector Noesi (1.0) pitched scoreless ball in relief of John Danks.
