Tonight’s Game

White Sox vs. Pirates at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m. CT, CSN+) in the finale of the two-game home series and four-game home/road set. Probable Starters: RHP Jeff Samardzija (4-4, 4.84) for the Sox, RHP Gerrit Cole (10-2, 1.71) for the Bucs.

Shown above wearing his Sox/ND cap in anticipation of Notre Dame Day at the ballpark on Saturday, Shark will be looking for some early “luck of the Irish” when he takes the mound tonight.

Last Night’s Highlights

After struggling in the first inning, John Danks settled down the rest of way, pitching scoreless ball and allowing just two hits without a walk in innings 2-7 in the Sox’ 3-2 loss to Pittsburgh…Melky Cabrera doubled in a run and Avi Garcia singled him home in the two-run sixth…Zach Duke and David Robertson each tossed a perfect inning in the eighth and ninth, respectively.
