For Openers…

In Thursday’s Cactus League opener at Camelback Ranch-Glendale vs. the Dodgers, John Danks will start and is expected to throw two innings. Others scheduled to pitch are Jake Petricka, Zach Phillips, Daniel Webb, Zach Duke, Matt Albers, Dan Jennings, Zach Putnam, Josh Wall, Phillippe Aumont and Matt Lollis.

Starting time is 2:05 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast via WLS Radio and can be seen on whitesox.com.


The Year of Avi?

Entering his second full major-league season, Avi Garcia has gotten off to a great start by belting a two-run homer in yesterday’s intrasquad game. Here’s a look at Avi with some interesting comments by hitting coach Todd Steverson.

Sox Agree to Terms with 20 Players

The White Sox have agreed to terms with the following players:

Pitchers (10): Chris Beck, Brandon Brennan, Scott Carroll, Erik Johnson, Tommy Kahnle, Petricka, Phillips, Carlos Rodon, Webb and Michael Ynoa

Catchers (2): Rob Brantly and Kevan Smith

Infielders (5): Matt Davidson, Leury Garcia, Mike Olt, Tyler Saladino and Carlos Sanchez

Outfielders (3): Daniel Fields, Jerry Sands and J.B. Shuck

All members of the 40-man roster are now under contract for 2016.
