This Afternoon’s Game

White Sox vs. Brewers at Camelback Ranch-Glendale (2:05 p.m. CT, Sox starting pitcher is John Danks.

Yesterday’s Highlights

Trailing 4-3 after six innings, the White Sox (3-1-1) took a 5-4 lead with a four-run seventh, highlighted by Steve Lombardozzi‘s two-run homer. The Sox added a run on a Lombardozzi sac fly in the eighth and Matt Davidson homered in the ninth for a 9-4 triumph on 15 hits for our third straight win…Davidson’s blast sailed over the batter’s eye in center field…Dioner Navarro belted a two-run homer in the second inning to tie the score at 2-2 (see video above), Jose Abreu went 3 for 3, including a double, and Hector Sanchez and Daniel Fields added an RBI each. Nate Jones (1.0 IP), Tommy Kahnle (1.0), Michael Ynoa (1.0), Scott Carroll (1.1), Zach Phillips (0.2) and Peter Tago (1.0) all pitched scoreless ball in relief of Erik Johnson, who pitched the first three innings. Ynoa got credit for the win.
