Today’s Spring Training News

Yesterday’s Highlights

*Definition: When Chris Sale and Tyler Saladino combine their talents to help the Sox win.

Saladino broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning with a two-run homer (click on top link below) and Sale made his first Cactus League start a strong one (click on bottom link) as the White Sox (9-7-1) downed the Dodgers, 4-2, at Camelback Ranch-Glendale for their second straight victory…Saladino also singled in a run, giving him three on the day and seven this spring. He also made a couple of nifty plays at shortstop…Jerry Sands went 2 for 3 and added an RBI single…Sale went 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in his duel with Clayton Kershaw, who also gave up a pair of runs on six hits…In relief, Tyler Danish (0.2 IP), Zach Putnam (1.0), Tommy Kahnle (1.0) and Matt Lollis (1.0) threw scoreless baseball. Putnam got the win, Lollis the save.
