Today’s Spring Training News

This Afternoon’s Game

White Sox vs. Indians at Goodyear (3:05 p.m. CT, CSN). Scheduled to pitch for Sox are Scott Carroll, Tyler Danish, Tommy Kahnle, Matt Lollis, Matt Purke and Dan Jennings.

Yesterday’s Highlights

The White Sox (10-7-1) won their third straight game with a 6-2 victory over the A’s in Mesa. The Sox combined outstanding pitching with a 16-hit attack, highlighted by Carson Fulmer‘s stellar outing and Jerry Sands‘ two homers…Fulmer (pictured above) threw 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing a hit and a pair of walks with four strikeouts…Sands belted a two-run homer in the first and a solo shot in the seventh. That’s Jerry pictured in the center of photo below being congratulated by his teammates…Jimmy Rollins, Jason Coats and Carlos Sanchez each added an RBI single and Matt Davidson continued his hot hitting with a three-hit day. He’s now batting .483 in Cactus League play…Dan Jennings pitched 2.2 perfect innings, recording three strikeouts, and Phillippe Aumont threw a scoreless ninth. It was Aumont’s fifth consecutive scoreless appearance this spring.

In a “B” game at Camelback Ranch, Jose Quintana pitched six innings of shutout ball against Reds’ minor leaguers, giving up five hits, two walks and three strikeouts…Nate Jones and David Robertson each tossed a scoreless inning.

White Sox vs. Giants at Camelback Ranch-Glendale (3:05 p.m. CT, CSN). Mat Latos, Erik Johnson and Nate Jones are scheduled to pitch for the Sox.
