Q and Sox Seek Series Win After Freezing Fans are Rewarded with Late-Inning Magic
Sunday, April 10, 2016
Despite braving freezing temperatures, White Sox fans like the one pictured above went home happy as the Sox rebounded from their home opening loss with a 7-3 come-from-behind win over the Tribe at U.S. Cellular Field…Down 3-2, Avi Garcia‘s three-run homer capped a five-run seventh inning, which also saw Austin Jackson and Jimmy Rollins collect base hits, Jose Abreu intentionally walked and Todd Frazier and Melky Cabrera deliver RBIs…Abreu had a perfect day with his second homer, a solo shot in the third, a single and a pair of walks…Chris Sale, now 2-0 with victories in his first two starts of the season, had a quality start. He gave up three runs in seven innings along with six strikeouts…Matt Albers was superb with two innings of perfect relief, striking out three…That’s 23 consecutive scoreless appearances (26.1) for Albers dating back to last year.

“His wife is in labor. So it’s not just a normal day off. Or for her.”
