White Sox vs. Twins at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m. CT, CSN) in the opener of a three-game weekend series. Starting Pitchers: RHP Mat Latos (4-0, 1.84) for the Sox, RHP Ricky Nolasco (1-0, 4.05) for Minnesota.

Last Night’s Highlights

Avi Garcia belted a solo homer (4), driving in his 10th run of season, and singled while the White Sox drew nine walks in the 7-3 loss to the Red Sox in the rubber game of the three-game series…Jimmy Rollins (3), Todd Frazier (2) and Adam Eaton (2) led the walk parade…Eaton also collected a pair of singles and scored a run…Melky Cabrera added two singles.

Jake Petricka has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, Tommy Kahnle has been recalled from Class AAA Charlotte…Alex Avila, who has been on the DL, begins a rehab assignment today at Charlotte.

Basto Carolina League Player of the Month

White Sox prospect Nick Basto, playing first base at High-A Winston-Salem, was named the Carolina League’s Player of the Month as a result of a spectacular April.

Leading all of Minor League Baseball with 39 hits, Basto finished April second in batting average with a .433 mark. He hit four homers, seven doubles and a triple with a staggering 1.147 OPS.

Basto ended the month with a nine-game hitting streak–recording a .538 batting average during that span with three long ones and eight RBI.

Tomorrow’s Schedule

White Sox vs. Twins at U.S. Cellular Field (6:10 p.m. CT, WGN) in the middle game of the three-game weekend series. Starting Pitchers: LHP Chris Sale (6-0, 1.66) for the Sox, RHP Ervin Santana (0-1, 3.15) for Minnesota.

Fans please note: the USCF parking lots will open three hours prior to the 6:10 p.m game time, with the ballpark gates opening two hours prior at 4:10 p.m.
