Chris Sale gave up just one hit in eight scoreless innings, Todd Frazier belted his 26th homer, a two-run blast, and Tim Anderson smashed his his fifth long one, a solo shot, in the Sox’ 4-3 walkoff loss to the Mariners.

Sox Youth Squad Headed to RBI World Series
The White Sox Junior Baseball RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) youth team defeated its Kansas City Royals counterparts 13-0 in the Central Regional tournament to advance to the RBI World Series in Cincinnati, August 3-8.
Diego Munoz pitched four no-hit innings, Kendall Pettis hit an inside-the-park home run and Mike Bolton went 3-for-3.

In Sunday’s post we included a feature on promising Sox outfield prospect Adam Engel. Good news for the former University of Louisville star–he has since been promoted from Class AA Birmingham to Class AAA Charlotte. In his Knights’ debut last night, Engel played center field, batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
