Yesterday’s Highlights

The White Sox yesterday dropped the finale of the Miami series in heartbreaking fashion, 5-4, but still left South Beach winning two of the three games.

It was quite a weekend for Adam Eaton. He delivered four hits on Friday night, walked three times on Saturday–as well as executing his major-league leading 17th outfield assist–and collected three more hits yesterday, including a homer (No. 10) to lead off the game (click on link below). In all, he reached base 10 times. He was 7-for-12 with the three walks and yesterday enjoyed his club-high 42nd multi-hit game.

Others who delivered yesterday were Tim Anderson, who belted a ninth-inning solo home run, his sixth, and Tyler Saladino, Melky Cabrera and Jose Abreu who all had a pair of hits. Abreu singled, doubled and drove in two runs. Enjoy Anderson’s homer:


Next Up

After today’s off day, the White Sox face the American League Central-leading Indians in a three-game series at Progressive Field in Cleveland, the last leg of the nine-game road trip.
