Sox Look to Bounce Back in The City of Brotherly Love

Beginning tonight, the White Sox are in Philadelphia for a two-game series with the Phillies. The two teams met earlier this season at U.S. Cellular Field and split a two-game set. Following the trip to The City of Brotherly Love the Sox enjoy a day off then head to Cleveland for three games, concluding the final road trip of the season. The Good Guys then come home to host the Rays (4) and the Twins (3) to close out the regular season.
Sox vs. Phils:
Tonight (6:05 p.m. CT, WGN). Starting Pitchers: James Shields (5-17, 5.84) vs. RHP Jake Thompson (2-5, 5.64)
Tomorrow (6:05 p.m. CT, CSN). Starting Pitchers: LHP Chris Sale (16-8, 3.03) vs. RHP Jerad Eickhoff (10-14, 3.74)
Jose Abreu hit a monster 451-foot solo homer, No. 25 (click on link below), and in the process drove in his 96th run of the season as the Sox dropped the finale of the four-game series to the Royals, 8-3. With a pair of hits yesterday, he’s now raised his batting average to .301. Todd Frazier collected two singles and an RBI, his 94th run batted in of the year, and Carlos Sanchez belted a solo homer, his second of the series and second of the season. Justin Morneau, in his return to the lineup after suffering from a neck issue, singled, doubled and scored a run.
