Wow! A trip-trip-triple header tripping North. Thanks for the (wonderful) inside info on those two stadiums even "Norther" of Wrigley. Only four hours to go til game time. The rancor is building judging from the comments to one of Merkin's posts. I say the best way to deal with the Cubs is to simply beat them. All the talk in the world won't change some of the closed minds that spewed the tripe that they wrote, so just ignore it. That's a much healthier way to live one's life. Of course, life is just a wee bit better when the Sox win, so go for it Boys..... j.k.
Loved the post, but not enough to read it 2 times! :) I'll be attempting to watch this on wgn, if I can stomach the announcers, so far, so good but it's early! lol
Do I hear rain delay?? UGH!
Most unhappy tonight!!!!!
Here's an idea Chicago BASEBALL fans. Blow up Wrigley, turn the Cell into a large swimming pool/ ice skating rink ( seasons permiting). and build a new (evil word) domed dual use stadium for the Sox and Cubs. No more rainouts/ snowouts for either team. Scheduling wouldn't be a problem. The only problem other than the money issue would be the name of the field. How about Chicago Scubox Field? The White and Blue Boys of Summer Field? It's always Gameday Field?
I hate rainouts! Don't they happen in Chicago more than anywhere else?????? Maybe tomorrow we can go Sox......j.k.
They seem to happen more in Chicago but I don't think the dome idea will fly, let alone the combined use of it - - can you imagine that heads that would roll with THAT!
Least I can watch the Rangers/Stros game - no rain here - still!
