Robin Debriefs ESPN
Prior to tonight’s game, RV met with a small army of ESPN broadcasters, reporters and producers to talk about the team’s season to date and this evening’s starter Chris Sale. Among his comments, Ventura confirmed just how much losing Gordon Beckham has hurt the team’s defense.

Did You Know…
…that brothers John and Jordan Danks were both in the lineup this afternoon for the Class AAA Charlotte Knights vs. the visiting Pawtucket Red Sox? John, in another rehab stint, earned the victory with six innings of work, allowing two earned runs, seven hits, three walks and five strikeouts. Jordan, just optioned to the Knights by the Sox, certainly had his brother’s back with a pair of hits, three RBI and an outstanding catch in centerfield in the 6- 4 win.
