Off-day. On Tuesday, White Sox vs. Mets at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m., CT, WCIU) in the opener of a two-game series and nine-game homestand. Starters: LHP Chris Sale (5-6, 2.69) for the Sox, Zack Wheeler (1-0, 0.00) for New York. Chris is 11-2 with a 2.02 ERA and 14 strikeouts in his last 16 home starts, dating back to May of 2012.

…that Addison Reed chalked up his 50th career save yesterday at age 24 and 177 days, becoming the second-youngest pitcher in Sox history to reach that standard? Only Terry Forster at 22 and 110 days was younger. Also, Reed accomplished the feat with the fewest opportunities (56). (From STATS LLC)
