The Chicago White Sox offer elite baseball and elite fastpitch travel team programs for the 12U-18U age groups. Since the program’s inception, White Sox Elite Baseball and White Sox Elite Fastpitch has helped over 150 students pursue their dreams of playing the game at the collegiate level.

On July 2, 2019 the White Sox held a special on-field ceremony for our 2019 commits prior to the game. Below is a full list of the White Sox Elite Baseball and Fastpitch players who have committed to a college program in 2019:

We caught up with Nick DeMarco from the baseball team and Antoinette Hill from the fastpitch team to learn more about their experience with the White Sox programs and see what they are excited for in the future.

Name: Nick DeMarco

Hometown: South Elgin, IL

High School: St. Charles North (class of 2021)

Position: Middle Infielder & Pitcher

College Commitment: University of Notre Dame

Favorite White Sox Player: Tim Anderson

Best part about Guaranteed Rate Field: The atmosphere. Also, being able to see the players that we watch on TV up close is really cool.

Best part about White Sox Elite Baseball: This is my first year as a member of White Sox Elite and it has been awesome. The training that I did over the winter with the coaches was phenomenal and the tournaments that we have been playing in this year have really allowed me to showcase my skills amongst the region’s top talent.

Advice to the Youth: Keep working on your craft. In baseball, it doesn’t matter what your weight, height size is…it’s all about the amount of work you put in.

Name: Antoinette Hill

Hometown: Braidwood, IL

High School: Reed Custer High School (class of 2019)

Position: Pitcher & First Base

College: Purdue University

Favorite White Sox Player: James McCann, mainly because he popped in our group photo that we took on the field.

Best part about Guaranteed Rate Field: The cheering and excitement you experience when the Sox make a good play.

Best part about White Sox Elite Fastpitch: We have really good training facilities, a competitive coaching staff, and an overall good team atmosphere. It’s just fun!

Advice to the Youth: You get out what you put in. You have to work hard to get to where you want to be. It’s important to set goals for yourself and never be complacent.
