The Game

Final: White Sox 5, Marlins 3

Highlights: The Sox completed the three-game sweep of Miami this afternoon and moved to 24–24…Adam Dunn hit a two-run homer, his 12th blast of the season and 418th of his career; Alejandro De Aza collected a pair of doubles and two RBI; and Alex Rios delivered a run-scoring single for an insurance run in the eighth inning…Dylan Axelrod earned his third victory in 5.1 IP and Matt Lindstrom, Matt Thornton, Jesse Crain and Addison Reed pitched scoreless ball the rest of the way. Reed chalked up his 17th save, just one behind league leader Mariano Rivera of the Yankees…Defensively, Rios and Dayan Viciedo each threw out a man at the plate.
