Quote of the Day

Manager Rick Renteria on the Sox offensive output the last two nights vs. the Astros:

“When you have solid approaches over an extended period of time and you start putting the bat on the ball over those at-bats, they start to fall. If they continue that way, they’re going to exponentially show those numbers over time: As long as their approach remains the same, and there’s no reason to believe it’s going to change.”

Worth Repeating

The baseball world is still buzzing about Adam Engel’s spectacular catch Tuesday night that robbed the Astros’ Brian McCann of a home run. Read about the reactions from Engel, manager Renteria and winning pitcher Derek Holland.
