It’s a typical evening at a local Chicago bar. The grandfather of current White Sox season ticket holder Kristi Considine overheard a fellow patron complaining about how his co-workers fight over his White Sox season tickets. Eventually, the patron gave up and offered his front row seats to Kristi’s grandfather J. Lloyd Considine. From there on, White Sox baseball became a tradition in the Considine family, creating multiple generations of season ticket holders.

“I’ve been handling the tickets since losing my dad, but he inherited his tickets from his dad,” Kristi said. “My grandpa got them in either the late ’60s or early ’70s. They kind of fell into his lap.”

Kristi and her younger brother Cole have been going to White Sox games with their dad since they were little, creating many fond White Sox memories over the years. Kristi witnessed the blackout game in 2008, the A.J. Pierzynski/Michael Barrett brawl and a ceremonial first pitch by her father. Perhaps her most significant memory was the day she saw Paul Konerko play his final game with the White Sox.

“It was kind of surreal because it felt like the closing of my childhood,” Kristi said. “Paul Konerko’s retirement collided with me starting my adult life and my career. I definitely cried after that game.”

Kristi’s father Timothy Considine took over the season tickets after his father passed away. Over the years, he constantly shared his seats with others, especially those who weren’t given a lot chances to go to baseball games.

“My dad always had his people that he would take care of,” Kristi said. “He was still taking care of my grandpa’s buddies and getting them to the games. During the 2005 World Series, he had 12 tickets and made sure each of his siblings were able to attend. So he would just take care of people.”

Timothy and his father shared a special connection with the White Sox that he carried on with his kids. A connection that Kristi now understands and maintains with these season tickets.

“It feels like one of the best ways I can maintain a connection with him, and I think that’s what the White Sox meant to my dad — being able to connect with his dad,” Kristi said.

Timothy unexpectedly passed away last year, but Kristi continues their tradition by keeping the season tickets in her dad’s name — something she hopes to preserve as long as possible.

“I imagine that I’ll always think of them as being his tickets,” Kristi said. “I like when I get the tickets in the mail, and they’re still addressed to my dad. That’s special for me.”

Kristi feels honored to manage the Considine season ticket legacy, giving those she cares about lifelong memories with the White Sox. Just like her dad gave to her when she was a kid.

“For me to be able to continue this for them, I think that’s the really neat thing about having these tickets,” Kristi said. “It just brings so many people together in my family.”

Season ticket holders have the opportunity to create new Sox memories at the ballpark all season long. They also are invited to private events like Grinder Bash, a kick-off event before SoxFest, season ticket holder appreciation nights, player meet and greets and more.
