The Chicago White Sox bats were hot in their Wednesday win against Baltimore, outscoring the Orioles 10–5.

Dylan Cease took the mound for the Sox, pitching 6.0 innings with 7 strikeouts.

The Orioles started off hot, scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Good Guys answered back with a 4-run inning of their own. After Eloy Jiménez reached base on a ground ball single, Andrew Vaughn hit his 17th home run of the season to score the first two runs for the Sox. Yasmani Grandal singled for the third hit of the inning. Rookie Oscar Colás crushed his 4th home run of the year to drive in two more runs and tie the game.

In the top of the third inning, Luis Robert Jr. hit his 35th home run of the season and the third White Sox home run of the day. Luis Robert Jr. is the 14th player in White Sox history (24th time) to hit 35-plus home runs in one season.

Back-to-back doubles from Jiménez and Vaughn followed by an RBI single from Elvis Andrus helped put the Sox up 7–4 heading into the bottom of the third inning.

Anthony Santander hit a home run for the Orioles to cut down the lead in the bottom of the third.

With runners on second and third in the top of the sixth inning, Tim Anderson cracked a single to center field. Cedric Mullins had a fielding error that allowed two more runs to score. Andrew Benintendi then doubled to drive in Anderson for the 10th White Sox run of the day.

Jimmy Lambert contributed 2.0 innings of scoreless pitching to hold the Orioles off the board. Gregory Santos secured the final three outs and in turn, a White Sox Victory.
